Alice Ambrose

Alice Ambrose, a long time resident of Bloomfield, passed away in Montclair N.J. on March 13, 2014 at the age of 99. Visiting hours are 6 to 9pm on Monday evening at Levandoski Funeral Home 44 Bay Avenue, Bloomfield. Panikhida service will be at 7pm Monday evening. Her funeral service will begin at 9am at the funeral home on Tuesday morning. Her Funeral Liturgy will be in the Assumption of the Holy Virgin Orthodox Church 35 Orange Rd. Clifton NJ 07013 at 10am. Entombment will follow at Glendale Cemetery /Mausoleum, Bloomfield. Alice is survived by her daughter Maria M. Clingan (her husband Ralph), her grandchildren Paul Ercolino and Rachel Ercolino. She was the aunt of Gail Bondar and Paula Wiley and she was the great aunt of Paula Renee Rodriguez and Christopher Wiley. She was predeceased by her siblings, Paul Bondar, Nettie Bondar, Anna Bondar and Peter Bondar. Alice was a parishioner of both the Assumption of the Holy Virgin Orthodox Church and the United Presbyterian Church of West Orange 20 Old Indian Rd. West Orange NJ 07052 and she was a past member of the Newark "R" Club. In lieu of flowers, donations either church in her memory would be appreciated.
