Amado Lopez

Amado Lopez, 85, of Bloomfield, NJ, peacefully passed away on October 21, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born in the Philippines on January 26, 1939, he was the eldest son of Isidro and Maria Lopez. After immigrating to the United States in 1970 with his wife, Rosario, they made Bloomfield their home for nearly five decades.

A dedicated professional engineer, Amado held licenses in New Jersey, New York, Missouri, Texas, Tennessee, and Maryland. He spent 17 years at The Lummus Company in Bloomfield before joining ISP Corporation in Wayne, NJ, where he worked as Sr. Staff Civil Engineer until his retirement in 2007.

Amado is the beloved husband of Rosario (nee: Libanan), loving father to his son Brian and his wife Vivian, and his son Rene, and the proud and caring grandfather of Benjamin, Xavier, Elise, Abigail and Jordan. He is also survived by his siblings Felicitas Torres, Josefino Lopez, Angelita Branam, Olivia Salgado and Amante Lopez.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home, 44 Bay Ave., Bloomfield, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. at St. Valentine Church, 125 N. Spring St., Bloomfield, NJ. Mausoleum Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
