Ana Maria “Anita” Davila, 94 of Puerto Rico, formerly of Jersey City, entered into eternal rest on the morning of February 3, 2019 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico and came to New Jersey in the 1964. She was the mother of 12 children. She is now joining her late husband Pedro and (3) deceased children Carmen, Sophie and Sonny. She is survived by (9) children and their spouses. Benny, Ana Elba, Ino, Pedro Juan, Pedro Jr., Blanca Iris, the twins Luis & Juan, Valentine, and lots of Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren. She worked at various jobs while raising her children. She served as a Eucharistic Minister for both St Boniface & St Mary’s Church for many years. She also volunteered at food pantries and devoted herself to serving the community. She loved singing, dancing, sewing, telling jokes, and trading stories with her neighbors. She was a very kind, loving, patient, and giving person, a great mom and a wonderful person. “To the World you are a Mother but to your family you are the World” A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish, 209 Third Street, Jersey City. The family will receive friends at 10:30 a.m. at the Church. Mausoleum Entombment will follow at Holy Name Mausoleum, Jersey City. Any floral offerings should be sent directly to the church on Saturday morning.
