Anna Mary Zownir

Anna Mary Zownir passed away in the early morning hours of July 4, 2014. She was a kind and generous woman with a welcoming smile and a quick sense of humor that was appreciated by everyone she knew. She was born on December 19, 1946 in Newark, NJ. A lifelong resident of New Jersey, she worked for the federal government for 40 years, the last 37 as a charter member of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. After she retired, she could be seen hanging feeders for the hummingbirds or planting flowers in the yard. She will be missed by her family and the many friends whose lives she touched over the years. Anna was the beloved wife of Andre, the devoted mother of Katherine Hazemey and her husband Robert; and Christopher Zownir and his wife Megan. She was the beloved sister of Joseph Krypel. She was the beloved grandmother of Eric and Ryan Zownir. She is pre-deceased by her parents, George and Mary Krypel.
