Anthony F Casale

Anthony F. Casale, Sr. (Butch), age 69, of Nutley, NJ, died Saturday, December 7, 2013, at his home. Anthony was born in Newark, NJ to the late Anthony & Helena (McCristal) Casale, and lived in Nutley most of his life. Anthony was a loving, devoted husband, friend and soul mate to Patricia (Robertson) Casale and they recently celebrated 50 years together. He was a great, loving father to Anthony F. Casale, Jr. & his wife, Cathy, Donna Muzzicato & her husband, Nick, Robert Casale & his wife, Dawn, and Dawn Casale & her boyfriend, Michael Spae. Grandfather to Anthony, III & Brittany, Nicholas, Natalie, Nina & his miracle, soon-to-be grandson, Jace. They will remember "Stasho" playing Uno with them, going to the boardwalk, and being his goofy self. They all had a special place in his heart and he will forever be their guardian angel. Anthony is also survived by his sister, Helen Pascoe of Toms River, and a brother Joseph Casale, of Nutley.Anthony formerly owned Edison Concrete and Casale's Place in Nutley. He was also a security guard for Clara Maass Medical Center for 9 years before retiring to Leisure Village West, Manchester, NJ, in 2011.Anthony adored his 2 cats, Gizmo & Salem and loved all kinds of animals. He always went out his way to help them. He loved holiday dinners, being on the beach, whether it was to just relax, or do some fishing. He loved taping movies (especially John Wayne), collecting coins and trains and had an amazing collection of all 3. You could always find him doing crossword puzzles, playing cards, reading a good book or watching his favorite teams, The New York Giants and New York Yankees. He had a passion for vacationing in Disney World since it opened in 1971. Most of all, we will all remember him for his sense of humor which never left him. You could always catch him playing practical jokes on someone, telling funny stories and jokes. A private cremation was handled by Levandoski Funeral Home, Bloomfield, NJ.
