Armand Brutus

Armand Brutus, affectionately known by friends and family as Ton Armand or Boss Armand or Tristan, passed away at the tender age of 83 on March 31, 2015 in Union, New Jersey. He was born on September 5, 1931 in Pilate, Haiti to Brutus Fils (P B) and Eulalie Jean. He became renown in town for his reluctant pursuit of excellence in the field of carpentry. He gained prominence in the crafting of coffins. He immigrated to the United States in 1982 where he struggled constantly to adapt but in 2000 he realized his dream to return back to his native town of Pilate. One needs to visit Pilate to understand the kind of serenity he was enjoying however he was living between Pilate, Haiti and Union, NJ. He was the youngest of his mother's four children; he preceded in death by his brothers and sister Frank, Christian and Aliane Brutus but survived by his sisters Rosilia Gervais and Mme Jeune Fils. He will however forever be remembered by his beloved wife for about 60 years Lucienne Brutus, his sons and daughters Herold Brutus, Emmanuel Brutus, Renal Richard Brutus, Flaubert Brutus, Bertholy Lerebourg; Huguette Marcelin, Nedeline Enabosi, Prophete Lagrenade, Helere Jean, Junise Jean; his son-in-laws and daughter-in-laws: Michelle Brutus, Dina Brutus Clauberta Lerebourg, Marc Antoine Marcelin, and Amos Enabosi; his grandsons: Marvin Richard Brutus, Marc Anthony Marcelin, Jonathan Brutus Philippe Marcelin and Ange Junior Pierre Louis; his granddaughters: Amanda Marcelin, Beyanah Lerebourg, Anaikah Lerebourg, Ashley Enabosi, Alexus Enabosi, Landy A. Brutus, Andrea Enabosi, Reneka S. Brutus; along with countless nephews, nieces and friends whom were blessed to know him. Boss Armand loved a good conversation and a good joke but his best moments were when making furniture. He touched many people with his unconventional sense of humour and his generosity.
