Arthur W. Beck

Arthur W. Beck, Sr, 85, of Edison, formerly of Maplewood, died at home on Thursday, April 25, 2013. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Monday, April 29 at 11AM at the Union Funeral Home-Lytwyn & Lytwyn, 1600 Stuyvesant Ave, Union, followed by entombment at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Visitation will be tonight from 7-9PM, Sunday from 1-6PM and Monday from 10-11AM. Artie was the beloved husband of the late Doris W. Beck; devoted father of Arthur W. Beck, Jr., Robert H. Beck and wife, Katja and Heidi Washuta and husband, Timothy; loving grandfather of Katelyn and Scott Washuta and dear brother of Marion Dardzinski, Carl Schandelmeier and the late Walter Beck. Artie was the former owner and operator of Irvington Exxon and Star Auto Store also of Irvington. He was a member and treasurer of the Irvington Chamber of Commerce and a member of the NJ Gasoline Retailer's Association. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Second Reformed Church Property Fund, 132 Elmwood Ave, Irvington, NJ 07111 would be appreciated.
