Barbara Healey

Barbara Healey, 67 of Bloomfield, entered into life, peacefully with her family, on January 25, 2017 at Mountainside Hospital. Born in July 4, 1949 in Irvington to the late Warren & Mary Lane, she was raised in Irvington and moved to Bloomfield in 2000. She spent most of her life in the medical field, first working with Blue Cross Blue Shield, then onto Mountainside Hospital in the Admitting Department, and finally with the former Essex Heart Group & Dr. Kevin McCoach as an Office Assistant. She was loved in her community and with her friendly personality coupled with constant interaction with patients, she was a magnet for friends. She was also an Animal Lover and will be missed by the many people she friended. She is survived by her sisters, Diane Pollak & Leslie Gutierrez (Gary), her nieces & nephews, Jennifer & Tom Foti, MaryAnn Pollack, Matthew Gutierrez, Elizabeth Sowa, Fran Gutierrez, Alison & Michael Tears & her great niece & nephew, Caitlin & Michael Foti. Relatives and Friends will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley on Friday, January 27th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, Nutley. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Heart & Lung Transplant Center at Newark Beth Israel or to St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center, Madison, NJ.
