Carmen L Rivera

Carmen Rivera, 93 of Jersey City, entered into eternal life on Saturday, October 28th at her son's residence. Born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico, on February 24, 1924 to the late Julian Rivera & Carmen Berrios, she was a retired teachers aide for the Lafayette United Methodist Church of Jersey City. She has been an active parishioner of Lafayette Methodist since 1965. She loved to spend time with and traveling with her family and enjoyed gardening and sewing. She is the beloved mother of Jorge Rodriguez, Carmen Rodriguez, Carlos Salgado, Doris Suro & Hector Salgado. She is also survived by 15 grand children, 23 great-grandchildren & 15 great - great grandchildren. She was the last of 5 siblings. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 31st from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 44 Bay Ave., Bloomfield, NJ. (Additional parking available on Broughton Avenue). Family and Friends are invited to gather on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, to process to Cedar Hill Cemetery, Allentown, PA for burial.
