Carmen Sanchez

Carmen Sanchez, age 81, of Bloomfield, N.J. entered into eternal life at Mountainside Hospital on March 29, 2019. Born on October 3, 1937 in Caguas, P.R., Carmen married the love of her life, the late Juan Sanchez in 1955. They spent 52 glorious years together. Carmen was the devoted mother of Carmen, Juan, Milagros, Juana, Cristino, Wanda, Jose, Gilberto, and Steve. She was also a loving grandmother of 18 and great grandmother of 13. She went by "Mami Coca", a name that embodied her persona. She was our healer, our pillar of strength and guiding light of love and acceptance. She was, is and will forever be the best gift God gave us here on earth. Mami Coca was wholeheartedly committed to her family. We are blessed to have called her Mami. We will miss you always. You left a void in our hearts that will never be replaced but you all left us a lifetime of beautiful memories, laughter and tradition, that we will honor until the day we all meet again. You were our angel here on earth and now you will be our angel in heaven. Family meant everything to you which is why we will keep your memory alive through all the stories you passed down to us, laughter, and the love and faith you had in all of us. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. through 8:00 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 44 Bay Ave., Bloomfield, NJ. Relatives and Friends are invited to return on Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m. for the Funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
