Carol Ann Deputato (née Brown), 77, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, of Passaic, NJ, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at St. Mary's General Hospital, Passaic. Carol was born in Jersey City, NJ, on December 20, 1944, and attended Immaculate Heart Academy. She raised her family in Bergenfield and later moved to Kearny. She worked for many years as a preschool teacher in Nutley before retiring. She enjoyed music and dancing and will be remembered for her outgoing, fun-loving personality and for cherishing her family and time spent together. Carol is predeceased by son Michael and siblings James Brown, Patricia Ford VanDyke, Terry Flanagan, Eleanor Dalton, and Joan French. She is survived by sons Christopher and Billy (Amy); sister Marion Ritscher and brother Robert Brown; grandchildren Giovia, Julius, Alyssa, and Regina; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will take place at Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home, 44 Bay Avenue, Bloomfield, NJ, on Monday, May 2, from 5 to 9 p.m. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend the Funeral on Tuesday, May 3rd at 10:00 a.m. A Catholic Prayer Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow at Rosedale Crematory, Montclair.
