Caroline S. Buckingham, 47, of Maplewood, N.J., passed away at home suddenly on June 24, 2019. Born in Livingston, N.J., she grew up in Maplewood, NJ, and then moved to Springfield, NJ, where she resided for many years prior to returning to Maplewood several years ago. Caroline was a cheerful, athletic and active child with an outgoing personality who made friends easily. At a very early age she began dancing and acrobatics lessons which developed into lifelong passions. She also loved to swim and swam competitively with The Maplewood Swim Team for many years. In addition she was a Girl Scout and studied piano. Caroline graduated from St. Josephs Grammar School in Maplewood and then attended the Academy of Saint Elizabeth in Convent Station followed by Columbia High School in Maplewood where she graduated from in 1989.She worked as a Medical Coding Specialist for Bravo Reimbursement Specialists in Livingston, NJ for over 25 years. She frequently volunteered with several Maplewood civic organizations including The 4th Of July Committee. Caroline was the devoted partner of Carmen Puglio; beloved mother of Lisa M. Buckingham and Kara L. Puglio; loving daughter of Gerald L. Buckingham and the late Alma C. Buckingham; and dear sister of Kathleen Richard-May, Gerald W. Buckingham and Martin R. Buckingham.
