Casimera Konopka

Casimera Konopka, 80, died at home in Glen Ridge on Monday, October 10. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Friday, October 14 at 11AM at the Laskowski Funeral Home(Union Funeral Home), 1600 Stuyvesant Ave, Union (unionfuneralhome.com). There will be visiting from 10AM until the service. Entombment will follow at St Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Casimera was the beloved wife of the late Joseph S. Konopka. She is survived by 2 sisters in law, 2 brothers in law and numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Newark, Casimera lived in Glen Ridge for over 60 years, She was instrumental in furthering her late husband, Joseph's art career, particularly in the early years, even acting as his model. She loved spending time with her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
