Casimir Szymanski

Mr. Casimir "Casey" Szymanski formerly of Bloomfield passed away after a long illness in California on December 11, 2013 at the age of 92. Visiting hours will begin at 9:15am on Friday morning at Levandoski Funeral Home 44 Bay Avenue in Bloomfield. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Bloomfield. Casey was the beloved husband of the late Frances (nee Bilik). He was the last remaining son of the late Felix and Veronica (Oplat) Szymanski of Newark NJ. Brother of the late Jenny General, Chester, Kay Zaborowski, Milton "Nunu" (his fraternal twin) and Ziggy Szymanski. Casey was the father of Edward (his wife Dolly) of California and the late Philip Szymanski. Grandfather of Katherine Szymanski, Tara Szymanski and Steven Gulling. He is also survived by several great grandchildren. Casey served in the Army Air Force during WW2 stationed at Randolph Field, TX. He was emlployed at Newark Die Co. in Newark many years ago as a tool & die maker.
