Catherine A King

Catherine A. King, 67 of Bloomfield, entered into eternal life on December 19th after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Born April 3, 1949 in Carbondale, PA, she lived most of her life in Bloomfield. She was employed as a Bookkeeper with the Nutley Shoprite for over 15 years. Cathy was deeply involved with St. Valentine Church, as an active participant in Rosary Altar Society, a Eucharistic Minister, CCD Teacher and Chairwoman, for several years, of St. Valentine's Church Festival. She is predeceased by her husband Alfred (2013), her father, John Wengrin, & her brother, John, Jr. She is survived by her mother, Anne (nee: Gorel), her children; John & his wife Rebecca & Steven, her siblings, Michael & Joseph Wengrin, & Anne Marie Wengrin-Charles. She is also the proud and loving grandmother of Gretchen & Logan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22nd from 3:00 p.m. through 8:00 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 44 Bay Ave., Bloomfield, NJ. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday morning, gathering at 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home, thence to St. Valentine Church for a 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at www.pancan.org.
