Charles Buchynski

Charles Buchynski, 96 of Nutley, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 9th at Mountainside Hospital. Born January 1, 1919 in Newark, he lived in Nutley for the past 65 years. A proud WWII Veteran, Charles served for 6 years in the Army. He was employed with ITT Avionics as a Tool and Die Maker for 22 years, retiring 29 years ago. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing. He is predeceased by his son Charles & grandson, Jeffrey Bowlby. Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife of 69 years, Teresa (nee: Wierciak), his children; Rita Bowlby (the late Gregory), Mark Buchynski (Nada), his grandchildren; Gregory Bowlby (Kristi) & Steven Buchynski, & great-grandchildren; Ava & Evelyn Bowlby. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Levandoski - Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 44 Bay Avenue, Bloomfield, NJ. Cremation will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph's School for the Blind, 761 Summit Ave., Jersey City, NJ.
