Charles M Caso

Charles M. Caso, 74 of Brick, formerly of Bloomfield, entered eternal life on November 9, 2022. Born in Jersey City on September 22, 1948, to the late Frederick & Josephine (nee: Tomassi), he was a resident of the Chelsea at Brick for the past several years.

He was drafted in 1968 at the age of 19 into the US Army. Honorably serving during the Vietman War, he was a bulldozer operator making roads in Saigon. He was a hairdresser by trade and his skills were called upon numerous times to give haircuts to the soldiers and officers during his time overseas. When time afforded him, he would give candy out to the local children of Vietnam.

He previously worked at Cabaret in Nutley & Marina’s in Whiting & John Robert’s Salon in Whiting until 2007 when he was forced to retire after a debilitating stroke. While living in Brick, he was a devout communicant of St. Dominic’s Church.

He is survived by his brother, Frederick Caso & his wife, Helen, nieces & nephews, Brittany Feliciano, Jared Caso & his wife Deanna, Jenna Mazzolla & her husband, Matthew. He leaves behind several cousins but especially Anne Ambrosio, of Allentown, NJ, who was his best friend and advocate; his Vietnam buddy Timothy Bertram & his wife Donna of Colorado; and his friend Frank Atanasio of Toms River, who worked at the Chelsea and became like a brother to him.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home, 44 Bay Avenue, Bloomfield, NJ.

A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, NOVEMBER 28, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Dominic RC Church, 250 Old Squan Road, Brick, NJ. Interment will follow at William C. Doyle Veteran’s Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
