Christina D Stanford

Christina Denise Stanford unexpectedly departed this life on April 30th, 2016 at the tender age of 18. She was born on July 20th, 1997 at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center to Christopher Stanford and Carla Williams. She was instantly "daddy's little girl" and often would not go to sleep until he came in from work. Because of her beautiful skin tone and jet black curly hair she was lovingly given the nickname "Chin" which stuck with her throughout her life. Christina started her educational career at St. Leo Sacred Heart School in 2002. She then attended Madison Ave. Elementary School for 1 year in 2004 and transferred to Florence Ave. Elementary School in 2005. She then attended Union Ave. Middle School in 2008. She enrolled in Irvington High School in 2012 where she ran track and won several medals for her swiftness. In addition to being a student, she became an employee at Abercrombie & Fitch in Jersey Gardens Mall in January of this year. Christina was so energetic and full of life. To know her was to love her. Her beautiful smile could light up a room. Her sense of humor was unmatched and her laugh was contagious. She had such a kind heart and was always looking for a way to help someone else. Christina however, was no pushover. She was very strong-willed and passionate about anything she put her mind to. Christina's hobbies included skating, swimming, and playing basketball. She loved music and could often be found singing or dancing to the hottest new songs on the radio. She was also a dare devil and loved going to amusement parks to ride the fastest and scariest rollercoasters. Christina also loved baking. She was known for making tasty treats like brownies and cookies. She leaves to cherish her memory her father, Christopher Stanford; mother, Carla Williams; stepmother, Shemika Pitt; brothers, Christan Stanford and Neko; sisters, Christal Stanford and Lacy; grandmother, Martha Foreman; aunt, Denise Cromwell; uncles, Andrew Bennett Maurice Bennett, Richard Stanford, and Courtney Stanford; cousins, Jaylin Carolina, Ruth Bennett, Sarah Bennett, Andrew Bennett Jr., Zoe Bennett, Jamour Bennett, Javille Bennett, Saniyah Stanford, Kymani Stanford; her loving boyfriend, Tyrone Daniels and a host of other relatives and friends. May her soul rest in peace!
