The late Clement “Barney” Wayloo was born in Georgetown Guyana to the late Wilhelmina and Cecil Wayloo Sr. He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Contessia “Tessy” Wayloo; his beloved children Michael, Shantel, and Jahaad; his cherished grandchildren Imani, Deshawn, M’Khai, Zara, and Kali, Amari; his loving siblings Joseph (Savitri), Basil (Maureen), Patricia (Dhanraj), Anthony (Babzie), Randolph (Dionne); his son- in- law Michael, his sisters-in-law Liza, Casaundra, Dyneshia, and Winsome; his brother-in-law Prue; and his mother-in-law Francine. He is also survived by his many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Clement was predeceased by his son Jason, parents Wilhelmina and Cecil, sisters Shirley and Gloria, and brother Cecil. Clement emigrated from Guyana in 1983 in search of a better life.
He was a devoted worker for Irvington Township from 2001- 2022. He was an avid family man who loved good food, good music, dancing, WWE, and most of all, his family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Clement can be made to the ALS Association.
Visitation on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Union Funeral Home, 1600 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, NJ 07083
Funeral on Saturday, June 1, 2024 beginning with viewing at 12:30 p.m. at Israel Memorial AME Church, 54 Lincoln Street, Newark, NJ. Celebration of Life to commence at 1:00 p.m.
Cremation to follow at Rosedale Crematory, 408 Orange Road, Montclair, NJ.
