Clinton Leonard Keane (Keen) was born on the 20th of September, 1933 in Somerton, St. James, Jamaica to the late Leonard Keen and Zetlin "Daisy" Little-Foster. He was the eldest of seven children. Clinton attended the Somerton Primary school and began his career as a bookkeeper at Hampden Sugar Estate, one of the oldest sugar factory in Jamaica. Clinton was deeply involved in politics and the trade union and worked for the Civil Service for many years. Through sheer coincidence he knew and worked with his future father-in-law, Vibert Harvey long before ever meeting Viberts daughter, Annette in England. In 1962, Clinton immigrated to London, England to pursue greater opportunities. He worked very hard as a Bus Conductor for London Transport Authority and furthered his education by learning different types of welding processes at Enfield Technical Welding Institute. He was an accomplished Arc Welder by trade and applied his skills in Jamaica, London and America. During his first year in England, Clinton met Viberts daughter, Annette (nee Harvey) in London where she was attending nursing school. They would eventually marry on the 8th of October, 1966 in London. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2016. In 1969, Clinton and Annette immigrated to the United States and permanently resided in the state of New Jersey, were he became the proud father of his only son Mark Keane. Clinton enjoyed traveling, ball games, taking Mark to church, family reunions and going to Atlantic City to monitor his wifes spending. He also enjoyed talking about stories of his past life and calling people he met by giving them his own nickname. Clinton is remembered by all, as a funny, charming, full of life, and completely selfless man. He had an uncanny ability to light up any room and made everybody feel special and welcomed. Many people throughout his life came to know him as a father-figure and a devoted friend. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Annette, his son Mark and his wife Dana, adoptive daughter Angela Thompson and grandchildren Noah, Kyle, Dylan and Hanya; sisters Evadne Minott, and Desna Foster (Connecticut); brothers Neville Foster (England), William (Bill) Foster (Canada), Earl Foster and Ian Foster (Jamaica). Also a number of nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
