Concetta G. Paparozzi (nee Rocco) died peacefully at Quality Care Center, Fernandina Beach, Florida on the morning of October 4, 2011 with her daughter, Rosemary Slattery at her side. Connie was born in East Orange and lived in Newark, Irvington, Linden, Toms River and Manchester, before moving to Florida in 2003. Connie traveled to Italy in 1946 to marry her fiance, Mario Paparozzi in Viterbo, near Rome. Upon return, she and her husband lived in Newark and Irvington, before moving to Linden, where they lived for many years and raised their five children with love and pride. Connie and her husband were the former proprieters of Connie's Goody Shoppe in Linden. She later rose through the ranks to become Chief Clerk at the Union County Prosecutor's Office. Connie's love of all types of music was passed on to her children and grandchildren. Her family was the focal point of her life. She spent hours with the Sunday Times crossword puzzle with her brother and sister and was the hostess of numerous family holiday and Sunday dinners. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Mario Paparozzi, her son Steven, her parents, Mary and Stephen Rocco, her brothers, Anthony Rocco, Matthew Rocco and Salvatore Rocco and her sisters, Mildred Vento and Louise Seibert. She is survived by her four children and their families, Louis Paparozzi and his wife Susan of Cream Ridge, NJ; Dr. Mario Paparozzi and his wife Judi of Kure Beach, NC; Robert Paparozzi and his wife Sandra of Cranford, NJ; and Rosemary Slattery and her husband William of Fernandina Beach, FL. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Erik, David, Stefanie, Mario, Jared, Melissa, Mario III, Diana, Daniel, her great granddaughter, Miranda, her Sister Emelia Webb, and many nieces and nephews.
