Curtis N Cutler

Curtis N. Cutler, 77 of Newark, made his transition to glory on April 18, 2020 at his home.  Born September 26, 1942 in Newsome, Virginia to the late Curtis Cutler & Ollie Hardy, he lived in Manhattan since the age of 19 and then to Newark in 1962 after the birth of his first child.   He was employed as a Longshore man for Port Newark before retiring.   A hardworking man, Curtis enjoyed the simple things in life.   Traveling, especially to Virginia to visit family & playing cards.  He was a great dancer and loved the Oldies.  He thought he sounded like Marvin Gaye but that wasnt quite true.  He is the beloved husband of Ruth (nee: Bryant), cherished father of Michelle Cutler, Curtis Lamar, Caprice Nash & Charlene Chatman, dear brother of Joan Parker & Marcus Cutler and proud and loving grandfather of 5.  He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Due to CDC regulations funeral services are private.
