Daniel J Kavanaugh

Daniel J. Cavanaugh, of Jersey City formerly of Newark, passed away suddenly on December 22, 2021, at the age of 75. He graduated from Essex Catholic H.S. in Newark and Seton Hall University with major in French. He spoke French fluently along with other languages. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era and was later employed for many years in the insurance industry. Son of the late Daniel J. and Rose M. Cavanaugh, he leaves a brother William J. Cavanaugh, W. Pawlet, VT, sisters Claire J. Stienss (Roman), Dorset, Vt, and Rosemary Rehus (the late Albert) , Danby, VT, uncle to Jaime Ann Rehus, Michael Stienss and Jeremy Hayes. He also leaves behind many relatives and friends. Interment will be at Gerald R. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at a later date.
