Denise Waters, 56, of Elizabeth, New Jersey, peacefully passed away on October 25, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on March 30, 1967, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and embarked on a life journey filled with profound faith and devotion to her Lord and Savior.


Denise, affectionately known as "Niecy", exemplified the virtues of humility, gratitude, and respect for all of God's creation. Her kind and generous spirit touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She was a beacon of light, radiating love, compassion, and unwavering faith.


Denise's deep spirituality guided her every step, and her steadfast commitment to Jesus Christ Messiah of Nazareth was unwavering. She humbly served as an Ordained Evangelist, dedicating her life to spreading the word of God's love and salvation. Her ministry touched countless souls, bringing hope and solace to those in need.


Throughout her life, Denise found purpose and fulfillment through her various professional endeavors. She worked diligently at the Port Authority, New York, NY, where she survived the first World Trade Center terrorist attack in 1993, shortly thereafter, she decided to continue her career path in her home state of New Jersey. In each role, she approached her work with integrity and a commitment to excellence, shining the light of her faith in every interaction.


Denise's spiritual home was Love of Jesus Family Church Ministries, where she found strength, nourishment, and community. She cherished her time spent worshipping alongside fellow believers, united in their love for God and their dedication to living out His teachings.


Beyond her professional and spiritual pursuits, Denise had a rich tapestry of interests and hobbies. She found solace and joy in evangelism, using her voice and talents to uplift and inspire others. Music and singing were her soul's expression, and she found deep fulfillment in studying Bible scriptures and sharing the profound wisdom contained within them. Niecy's creativity extended to writing songs, poems, and heartfelt letters, a testament to her beautiful spirit. She also found solace in sewing, solving puzzles, and expressing her artistic side through drawing. Her impeccable sense of fashion and love for shopping were an outward reflection of her inner beauty.


Denise's legacy of love and faith will forever be cherished by her beloved family. She is survived by her devoted mother, Carole Agnes Holloman-Waters of Flemington, NJ, and her loving father, Charles Andrew Waters of Philadelphia, PA. She leaves behind her cherished children, Tiara J. Bradshaw of Newark, NJ, Emanuel A. Bradshaw of Jersey City, NJ, and Miya Y. Bradshaw of Union, NJ. Niecy was a proud and doting grandmother to her precious grandchildren, Serenity, Sariyah, Orion, and Keaton. She is also survived by her dear siblings, DeShaun Cherisse, George Eric, and Joseph, who shared a bond of love and support throughout their lives.


Denise was predeceased by her grandmother, St. Mary Agnes Howard-Holloman, who was a faithful woman of God and a host of other wonderful family members, who were also great people of faith.


Niecy's life will be celebrated during a visitation at the Union Funeral Home and this sacred time of remembrance and reflection will provide an opportunity for family, friends, and loved ones to honor her memory and find solace in their shared faith.
