Dina Kaufmann

Dina (Gemignani) Kaufmann, 80, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. The youngest in a large family, she was born in Newark NJ and spent most of her adult life in Maplewood until retiring to Monroe Twp in 2000. She will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to family, her sense of humor, boundless optimism, and compassion for others. Always smiling and joking, even at the most trying and painful times of her life. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Stephen, sisters Elvira, Rose, & Josephine, and brothers Salvatore, Martino, & Aladino Gemgnani. She is survived by her sister Gemma Slavinsky, daughters & sons in law: Dina & Mark Aster, and Linda & Michael Marucci, 4 beloved grandchildren: Nicholas, Michelle, Giana & Lea,, countless "surrogate" children & loving nieces, nephews, & great nieces and nephews. Loved by all and forgotten by none.
