Dolores Gumbars

Dolores M. Gumbars, 87 of Clifton, entered into eternal life on December 23, 2019 at St. Vincent’s Nursing Home, Cedar Grove.  Born December 23, 1932 in Newark to the late William & Rose Telesco, she lived most of her life in Bloomfield before moving to Clifton in 2001.   She graduated from Westside High School Newark in 1950 and she was last employed as a secretary with the Prudential Company, retiring many years ago.    She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Walter J. “Sonny” Gumbars & siblings; Mary Lissenden & Joseph Telesco.  She is the cherished mother of William Gumbars & his wife, Tamara, & of John Gumbars.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 44 Bay Ave., Bloomfield, NJ.   Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Monday morning at 9:00 a.m.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church at 10:00 a.m.   Interment to follow at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield.
