Domenick G. Amabile, 80 of Jersey City, entered into eternal life on December 22, 2019 at Morristown Medical Center. Born in Jersey City on May 19, 1939 to the late Arsenio & Mollie (nee: DiSpirito) Amabile, he was a lifelong resident. Domenick attended Ferris High School and served for 2 years in the US Army from 1962-1964. He retired as a Shop Man for Iron Workers Local 545. Dom was a true family man. He stressed the importance of family to his three girls and made every attempt to keep his family close and instill in them the spiritual values that he so faithfully followed. He was a devout communicant of Holy Rosary Church and faithfully attended mass there until he physically couldn’t make it any more. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Diane (nee: Neumann) He is the cherished father of Maria Henkel & her husband Charlie, Diane Kanski & her boyfriend Jason Blaauw, & Lynnann McDonough & her husband Steve, proud and loving grandfather of Liam Patrick Henkel & Gillian Kanski, dear brother of George Amabile & Christina Mele. He is also survived by 8 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 44 Bay Ave., Bloomfield, NJ. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Saturday morning gathering at the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 344 Sixth St., Jersey City, NJ. Mausoleum Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington.
