Dominic (Don) Guida, 90, of Union, N.J., died September 22, 2017 after a short illness. Born in Summit, N.J. on August 6, 1927. Dominic received training in aircraft mechanics at Casey Jones School of Aeronautics in Newark, NJ and flight training at Basking Ridge Airport NJ. Having multiple talents in automotive repair, sales and service. He owned and operated numerous automotive related businesses in New Jersey. He started with Summit Body Works, Summit, NJ. He was employed by Dockery Ford in Morristown as a top automobile salesman. He successfully owned and operated four auto service stations in NJ over many years He was employed by numerous aviation companies, Solberg Airport, Branchburg, NJ, Linden Flight Service, Linden, NJ and he owned and operated Basking Ridge Flight Service in Basking Ridge, NJ. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather he is survived by his second wife, Marilyn Kaut Guida, first wife, Molly K. Guida and mother to his five children,Christopher, Kenneth, Carlton, Kathy and Carolyn. He had 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was also a 32nd degree mason at Cincinnati Lodge No. 3, Morristown, NJ. He loved to fly, owned his own airplanes and enjoyed teaching young people to fly. He also was very proud of his Italian heritage and liked to converse in the language that he loved.
