Donald Anderson

September 23, 1956 — January 1, 2023

Donald Nathaniel Anderson was born on September 23 1956, in Saint Ann's Bay hospital in Ocho Rios Jamaica, he was born to the late Lillian Anderson and the late Samuel Anderson, which everyone knows as "Uncle Chichi" and to the grand kids as "Papa". Donald then came to New Jersey in 1994 where he remained until his passing. Donald was known to most of his friends and family as "Tyga" because he was very athletic and agile.

Everybody knew Donald as someone who loved to skate/rollerblade as he would skate everywhere, he would hold on to the back of cars and trucks on his rollerblade all the way to Ochi center, he was also an Olympic style cyclist. He used to joke that he would rollerblade all the way to runaway bay and back. He had a bicycle shop in exchange where he would make bicycles, fix them for the kids in the neighborhood. He was also an avid fisherman, to say he was a hustler, and a jack of all trades would be an understatement. Donald had many skills including his main trade which is construction/electrician/plumber he can fix anything. Everyone calls him when they need things repaired or built. He used to carve wooden sculptures, sew clothes, make hats, fix cars, he once built an entire decorative railing with only a few pieces of recycled steel, it was so beautiful it looked like it was purchased from a store.

Donald enjoyed music, especially country music, and reggae. He taught himself how to play the guitar and the piano in less than one year. He had several instruments which he was learning to play including the saxophone. He always believed you can do anything with practice, and he proved that many times over. Donald Also enjoyed cowboy movies and wrestling, he had a whole collection of cassette tapes and CD’s with 100s of cowboy movies and music, he never throws anything away, till this day you can find vintage things in his house from the 80s.

Donald is survived by his many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends, his 2 daughters Marsha Anderson, and Neisha Anderson. His grandkids Marcus Anderson and Amber Brown. His siblings Pauline Hyde, Nolia Jones, Valerie Lambert, Charmaine Green, Thomas Anderson, Dorrel Anderson, and he is met in heaven by his sister the late Valda Wint. Donald was loved and respected by many and he will be deeply missed.
