“We think about you always, we talk about you still, you have never been forgotten, and you never will. We hold you close within our hearts, and there you will remain, to walk and guide us through our lives, until we meet again”. In Loving Memory of Edward Golebski It is with profound loss that we announce the passing of Edward Golebski, 88, of Union, NJ. Edward lived an honorable Christian life focusing on ensuring his family was his main priority and selflessly sacrificed so much to provide the best life he could for the well-being of his wife, children and grandchildren. Edward continued this purposeful life up until his last breath. Edward was born on October 5, 1933 in Paniow, Poland to father, Marcin Golebski and mother, Franciszka (nee Kaczmarek). Edward was a beloved husband and married his devoted and loyal wife, Jaroslawa (nee Wysoczanski) in Poland on November 28, 1964. He is survived by his beautiful wife and was the cherished father of his dear son Slawomir (Jerry), dear daughter, Kristine Paciorkowski with admired husband Patrick, three adored grandchildren, Evan (5), twins Katherine (3) and Alexander (3) along with his brother in Poland, Zygmunt. He is predeceased by his late sister, Genowefa (nee Cholewa). He is also a beloved Uncle to many nieces and nephews in Poland and the United States. Edward served the Polish Army for two years and graduated with a degree of Engineering in Stalowa Wola, Poland. Edward especially loved cars, chess, bicycling and reading and through the years continued with his passion. Edward with his wife moved from Poland to France in 1967 (birthplace of their son), to then immigrate to the United States in 1968 (birthplace of their daughter) as the first in his immediate family to leave Europe in order to create a better life for him and his family. From the moment he came to the United States he was motivated and driven to succeed in this new place called his home. He retired from Wakefern Corporation in 1999 and enjoyed the years thereafter spending time with family especially his grandchildren who he truly adored. He was the most devoted family man. His unwavering love and loyalty to his family is indescribable. He is truly loved by so many. Above all else, Edward was a devout Catholic Christian who loved the church and passionately worshipped prayer. His relationship with the Lord was profound and during his weakest times, he found the strength to praise and receive the Lord. On July 29, 2022 we lost an amazing, loving, humble, loyal, kind and devoted man but Heaven has gained an angel. His final moments were spent peacefully, surrounded by his loving immediate family.
