Edward "Ned" Lewis

Edward "Ned" Lewis, 83, died Wednesday, July 15, at home in Manahawkin. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, July 18 at 10AM at the Union Funeral Home-Lytwyn & Lytwyn (unionfuneralhome.com) followed by entombment at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9PM and Saturday from 9-10AM. Edward was the beloved husband of 58 years of Margaret, nee Segear; the devoted father of Susan Hudak and husband, John, Debra Vitale and husband, Dr. Carl and Steven Lewis and wife, Tracey; the loving grandfather of 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Jerome and David Lewis Born in Plymouth, PA, Edward lived in Irvington and Union before moving to Manahawkin in 2004. He had worked as a machine operator at New Departure-Hyatt and as a mail carrier at the Union Post Office. He was Past Master of Wilkins-Eureka-Continental Lodge and Loyalty Lodge F.A.M. of Union and a member of Ocean Community Church of Manahawkin.
