Edward W. Grant

On Wednesday, April 6, 2022, Edward William Grant passed away peacefully. He was the beloved uncle of Diana M Wright, Antonietta M Mustillo, Maddalena M Mustillo, and Luigi V Mustillo and the beloved great uncle of Carolyn Wright and Katie Wright. Edward was born on July 23, 1939. He was the third of four children to James H Grant Sr and Marie Anne Grant. He lived in Union most of his life, graduating from Union High School in June 1957. Edward left Union to venture to Vermont for college. He was a student of Windam College where he also played right field for their baseball team. His college years were some of the best years of his life for he never forgot them. He graduated with an Associate of Arts in Business Administration degree in June 1960. After college, he returned home and worked for a while, but when his sister needed him, he made himself available to her. His brother-in-law worked out of state, so he was there for his nieces and nephew as a third parent. He drove them to school, drove them to different activities, and made it possible for them to have so many opportunites. Although he never married, we hope he thought of us as his kids too because we definitely considered him more than an uncle. He was kind, loving and mild mannered. I can’t remember a time when he ever told our mother no when she asked for help. He was always there for her and missed her every single day. It gives the family so much peace knowing he is reunited with the family he loved and missed so dearly. How much do we love you Uncle Eddie?…..SO much. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. A Catholic Prayer Service will take place at 1:45 pm. Burial will follow at Hollywood Cemetery, Union.
