Elizabeth "Betty" Schoner

Elizabeth "Betty" Schoner (nee: O'Mara), 93 of West Orange, entered into eternal rest on Christmas morning at Home. Born in Monclair to the late Joseph & Elizabeth O'Mara, she lived in Irvington before moving to West Orange in 1958. A graduate of Montclair High School, Betty later worked for over 50 years, at Burrelle's Press Clippings, retiring in 1981. She was very active in the West Orange PTA while her children were in school and was a great cook. She also enjoyed reading Fiction books well into her golden years. She is predeceased by her husband, Clifford J. Schoner (2012). Surviving to cherish her memory are her children: Clifford J. & his wife Kathy, Carolyn E. Lang & her husband, James, & Craig J. & his wife Cynthia, her sister; Rosemary O'Mara & her grandchildren; James, Andrew, Allison & Chrissie. She is also survived by many friends and neighbors. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 29th from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 44 Bay Ave., Bloomfield. The funeral will be conducted on Wednesday morning, gathering at 10:00 a.m. A Catholic Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice, in her memory.
