Elva Medina Andino was born on July 4, 1938 in Mia Flores, Peru to Jose Medina Diaz and Laura Espin de Arias. Elva was formerly married to Richard Farro and that union produced five children, three sons and two daughters. Richard, Johnny, Alan, Elva, and Elizabeth. In May 1966, Elva migrated to the United States and it is here that she met Octavio Andino. Her marriage to Octavio Andino produced three children, two daughters and one son who only lived a few hours after birth. Nancy, Jose Octavio,and Jacqueline. Elva had a love for fashion and jewelry. Whether she was going to the grocery store or to a doctor appointment, she always made sure she looked her best. Elva was a disciplinarian and she made sure that her children attended church and performed well in school. She was very proud of her adopted country United States and the Hispanic community.Elva spoke fondly of her family back in Peru and frequently visited Peru until she was unable to due to the progression of Diabetes.Her other interest and hobbies including reading her favorite Spanish magazines Cosmopolitan Watching her Novellas and spending time with her grandchildren. Elva is survived by her husband Octavio, seven children. Richard, Johnny, Alan, Elva, Elizabeth, Nancy and Jacqueline. Her three grandchildren, Alan, Tianna, and Liam. And several grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Peru.
