Born on June 28, 1940 in Malostow, Poland daughter of Alexander and Barbara Pyz. She is the oldest of four children; two sisters, Sonia Brenycz and Eugenia Szablewska, and her brother Dorek Pyz. She married John (Ivan) Nyschit on April 16, 1961. In February 1965 they immigrated to the United States to begin their journey to live the American dream with "two small children, two suitcases and $20 in our pocket". Taken in by the generosity of family stateside, John and Emilia seized their opportunity and worked incredibly hard to provide for their family. Emilia worked at Ohaus Corporation for many years where she retired in 2005 to spend well deserved time with her family. She was a great cook, an avid gardener, and loved to spend time with her family and friends. Emilia was an active member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church and the Apostleship of Prayer. She also was a member of the 5th Branch of the Organization for the Defense of Lemkivshchyna (OOL). She is predeceased by her husband, John who left us on July 8, 1999. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret, her spouse John and their two children Emily and John Thomas (JT) of Westfield, NJ; and her son, Dan, his wife Luda, and their four children - Danylko, Larissa, Peter, and Talia of Dresher, PA. She is survived by her siblings, and a large extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Vichnaya Pamyat
