Emma Stanivukovich, 91 of Clifton, entered into eternal rest on June 26, 2021, at Mountainside Medical Center, Glen Ridge. Born December 8, 1929, in Paterson, she was a lifelong resident of Clifton. Emma was a graduate of William Paterson College, attaining her Master’s in Special Education. For 27 years, she devoted herself to educating children with special needs in the Bloomingdale Public School System retiring in 1980. After retirement she spend much of her time serving as a board member with William Paterson University, the ECCR (Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat), the Memorial Home in Upper Montclair and as a member of the Red Hatters Club and an active member of her church, United Reformed Church of Clifton. Emma enjoyed spur of the moment travel but most especially visiting Ocean Grove and staying at the Laingdon Inn, painting watercolors and reading. She was also an Avon rep for over 55 years. She is the beloved mother of Georgia Perez and her husband Antonio, cherished lifelong friend to Mariana Grunder and Vicki Krnjaic and loving Aunt of Jean Burkhart, her husband Larry Burkart as well as Jean's brothers Frank & Ben DeFalco and great nephew, Daniel Burkhart.
