Erasmo "Davidcho" Munoz Ancieta

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Erasmo "Davidcho" Munoz Ancieta on Friday, January 17, 2025 in Union, New Jersey, surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 25, 1946 in Lima, Peru, Erasmo lived a life full of dedication, service, and unconditional love.

Erasmo spent most of his life in Lima, Peru, where he grew up and built his career before eventually moving to the United States. His love for his family, his strength, and his kind spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

A retired police officer, Erasmo was not only respected for his contributions to his community but also cherished for his unwavering commitment to his family. His family fondly remember him as “ha sido el mejor padre que pueda tener un hijo.”

Erasmo was the beloved son of Margarita Ancieta and David Munoz. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ricardo and Orlando, and his sister, Ubelina.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Lilia Munoz, and their four children: Angel, Marco, Veronica, and Luis Munoz. Erasmo also leaves behind a proud legacy of eight grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life.

A celebration of Erasmo’s life will be held Monday, January 20, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at … Erasmo’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of his loved ones. Rest in peace, Davidcho.
