Eric D Portee

Eric D. Portee, 75 of Belleville, entered into eternal rest on October 20, 2022 at Family of Care in Montclair.

Eric known as Ricky to his family and friends was born on October 27, 1946 in Newark, to the late Albert & Helen Portee.

Ricky was a US Navy Veteran who recently became a member of the American Legion, Post 105 in Belleville.  Ricky was a smart and funny man who repaired TV's for many years. He loved his daily walks, fishing, TV Crime shows and watching his favorite baseball team, the NY Yankees.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Elba, his children; Dawn Vega (Raphael), Erica Portee, Elba Nicole Drew (Ronald), Helen Portee (Jesus Agosto) & Irma Ramos, 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church, Belleville.

Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield.
