Ewhenia Szpyrka

Ewhenia Szpyrka, 98, of North Port, Florida, formerly of West Orange and Livingston, NJ, died Friday, December 9 in Tidewell Hospice of Charlotte, Florida. Ewhenia was the beloved wife of the late Wolodymyr (2002); the devoted mother of Lydia Ciapka and her husband, Orest and Yaroslawa Stefanyshyn; the loving grandmother of Mark Ciapka and his wife Shari, Maria Hillen and her husband John, Andrij and Christina Stefanyshyn; the cherished great grandmother of Ryan and Dylan Ciapka and Jack, Chris and Katie Hillen and the dear sister of Ewfrozyna Martinec. Ewhenia was an active parishioner of St. John's Ukrainian Catholic Church of Newark, participating in the church choir and Ladies' Sodality. She was a long standing member of UNWLA Branch 28. In place of flowers, memorial contributions to United Ukrainian American Relief Committee (ZUDAK) for the benefit of the Ukrainian soldiers in Ukraine, would be appreciated. VIsitation will be on Monday, December 19 from 4-8PM with Parastas at 7PM. The Funeral Service will be at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, December 20 at St. John's Ukrainian Catholic Church of Newark with burial to follow at St. Andrew's Cemetery in South Bound Brook.
