Florence Malloy

Florence "Sis" Malloy (nee: Lang), 89 of Bloomfield, entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 30th. Born April 20, 1926 in Newark, she lived most of her life in Bloomfield. She started working at the age of 16, sewing buttons for a clothing company. Then for a time, she worked for RCA in Harrison. In 1951, she began a new job at CM Furnaces of Bloomfield where she was taught to wind wires on a mandrill, or a moly. She retired after 59 years (and two months) from CM Furnaces at the age of 84. Not one to travel much, Florence enjoyed working and spending time with her family and fellow employees. She loved getting up in the morning, getting dressed and starting her day. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace "Moe" Malloy (1978) and her siblings; Henry & Martha Lang. She is the beloved mother of Isabelle Atwood & Michael Malloy, loving grandmother of Denise & Angelica & proud, cherished great-grandmother of Kieron & Logan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 3rd from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. & Friday, December 4th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home, 44 Bay Avenue, Bloomfield, NJ. The funeral will be conducted on Saturday, December 5th at 10:00 a.m. A Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. with interment following at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
