Frank Rago, 84, of Glen Ridge, NJ died peacefully on October 13, 2011 surrounded by those who love him. Frank was the oldest child of Robert and Louise Rago. He grew up in Newark along with his sister, Marie, and brothers Robert and Joe. Frank served in Germany after World War II. He held many jobs over the years, his most recent at Fedway Associates in Kearny. Frank enjoyed life to the fullest and had many interests. In addition to woodworking and golf, Frank restored Vespas, traveled extensively, played pinochle, bowled, and loved to eat, especially pasta. For years, his nieces and nephews gathered at his house every Tuesday for Pasta Night where Frank would remind everyone, "A day without pasta is like a day without sunshine". Of Frank's many wonderful qualities, he will be remembered most for his love, devotion and generosity to his family and friends. Frank leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Lora, and his brother Joe. Although Frank had no children of his own, he was a father to his many nieces and nephews and to their children. In lieu of flowers, donations can be to Atlantic Home Care and Hospice, 33 Bleeker St, Millburn, NJ 07041.
