Gavens Hurdson Cadet

Gavens Cadet, 15 years old, of Irvington, New Jersey sadly passed away on the evening of Tuesday, October 1, 2024.

Gavens was born on September 2, 2009 in Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos.  Gavens was a light to all.  He spent his days playing Roblox, talking about his favorite television shows, and putting a smile on everyone's faces.  Gavens' hope had been to become a pediatric nurse and he was recently granted honorary nurse status at Hackensack University Medical Center.

Gavens is survived by his mother, Yclona Estinfil, who resided with him in Irvington, N.J. and his sister, Kanesha Cadet, who resides in Turks and Caicos, along with their extended family.  Gavens is predeceased by his father, Gary Cadet, who passed away in Turks and Caicos.  Gavens will be greatly missed by all.

Services will be held at Union Funeral Home - Lytwyn and Grillo at 1600 Stuyvesant Ave, Union, NJ 07083 on Monday, October 7, 2024 with visitation from 10am-11am.  The funeral service will be held at 11am, followed by a burial at Hollywood Cemetery at 1621 Stuyvesant Ave, in Union NJ.
