Genevieve Cosme

On May 2, 2021 Genevieve Cosme passed away peacefully at home after suffering from dementia for nine years. A long time resident of Montclair , she was the mother of five children, Suzanne, Edward, Laura, Annette and Eno, grandmother to Coryne and great grandmother to Mia. A 30 year employee as a Quality Control Manager at Nesor Alloy in Montville NJ and once retired, Genevieve dedicated many years to a family in Montclair as an assistant and caregiver to 2 children. She maintained an impeccable home and always welcomed you to it with a delicious dinner on the table. She was an excellent home maker, cook and baker . She loved her cats ! Her children and grand daughter were her greatest joy; she always had a friendly smile, and was kind to everyone. Mrs. Cosme lived her life in dedication to her husband and family, not out of obligation, but because of who she was.. a steady and devoted person. Genevieve is predeceased by her husband Edward, brother Nunzio Ferrara, sister Rose Dinsdale Romine, sister Antoinette Mattarazzo and brother Thomas Ferrara. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home, 44 Bay Ave., Bloomfield, NJ. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, May 6, 2021 gathering at St. Valentine Church, 125 N. Spring St., Bloomfield, for a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Bloomfield.
