George H Thomas

George H. Thomas, 69 of Belleville, entered into eternal life, on Saturday, April 25th. Born in Passaic on February 20, 1946 to the late Carl & Elizabeth (nee Deighan) Thomas, he lived in Belleville most of his life. He worked for The United States Post Office in Jersey City for 12 years prior to his retirement in 2012. George proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of VFW Post 493 of Nutley and American Legion Post 105 of Belleville.George married the love of his life, Marguerite (nee Zbikowski) 39 years ago. He is the devoted father of Gary H. Thomas and Jessica Thomas; dear brother of Margaret Drake & her companion Barry Hodgdon, Carl Thomas & his wife Andrea, Ruth Gregoire & her late husband Robert, William Thomas & his wife JoAnn, Robert Thomas & his wife Helena, May Mowrer & her late husband Jim, Andrew Thomas, the late Barbara Thomas and the late John Thomas.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 28tth from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 44 Bay Avenue, Bloomfield, NJ.
