Gizella Z. Frater

November 17, 1927 — March 27, 2016

Gizella Zelma Frater passed peacefully Sunday, March 27, 3:12 A.M., in Florida, of complications of diabetes. Her husband and the father of her five children, Imre Nandor Frater, died in 1991. She is survived by her special friend, Dr. Leslie Pastor, her brother Gyula Varga, her five children, Zelma Kovacs, Dr. Adrienne Frazer, Claudia Geren, Ted Frater, James Frater, and by her grandchildren Maryam, James, Devin, Rozalia, Ariel, Christine, Scott, William, Aaron, & Patricia, and great-grandchildren Kaytlyn, David, and Charlotte. Mrs. Frater was born November 17, 1927 in Kalucsapusta, Hungary. She emigrated to the US in 1956 with her husband Imre, where they both became US citizens. She lived in Allentown, PA and Milburn, NJ, then purchased a home in Maplewood, NJ in 1961, where she lived for the remainder of her life. After raising five children, she had a successful career as a lab technician for Novartis in East Hanover, NJ. We will all miss her. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 2, at 10:00 at Lytwyn and Lytwyn 1600 Stuyvesant Ave, Union, NJ.
