Grace (Caracciolo) LaCorte, 95 years old of Cedar Grove, passed away on September 23, 2020 in her home. She was born December 8, 1924 to Terese and Matteo Caracciolo in Jersey City. She was one of 8 children, all but one (Betty Carlo) are deceased. She was married to Vincent LaCorte, Jr on May 15, 1948 for 58 years. He predeceased her in 2006. She is survived by her 3 children, Charlene Pann, Camille (Richard) Kessler, and John (AnnMarie) LaCorte; 9 Grandchildren, Robert (Giselle) Garretson, David (Carl) Garretson, Kimberly (Joseph) Coppola, Jessica Percoskie, Brooke Kessler, Lauren Kessler, Joshua Kessler, Christopher LaCorte and Michael (Renee) LaCorte; and 9 Great Grandchildren, Angel Garretson, Daniel Garretson; Julianna, Jayden and Justin Coppola, Brandon Isakoff, Cash and Ace LaCorte and Melody Kessler; and many nieces and nephews. Grace was also known for her handsome dog, Nino. Nino was so special to her and never left her side until he passed away. She was a longtime resident of Lyndhurst where they raised their 3 children. They spent their retirement years in Cedar Glen Lakes then moving up to Upper Montclair/Cedar Grove. She loved cooking and baking and even published her own cookbook. She loved sewing and doing arts and crafts with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Grace was very active in ministering to her family and friends because of her strong faith. She was an active member of Grace Church in Montclair where she met a very special friend and nurse, Valerie Kay who remained close by her side through her last days. Grace will be greatly missed by her family and friends. We are thankful for her being with us for 95 years. Funeral Services are private.
