Halina Szymanski

Halina Szymanski (nee: Krawiec), 86 of Wyckoff, entered into eternal life surrounded by her family on December 9th at Valley Hospital, Ridgewood. Born in Poland, she settled in Bloomfield in 1951. While here, she attended a Dance at the White Eagle Hall on Broughton Avenue and that's where she fell in love with Gwidon "Don" Szymanski, they married in 1952 at St. Valentine Church. She was a homemaker, devoted to taking care of her family and children. She loved children and for that reason, she worked in a hospital maternity ward so she can be with children for over 25 years. She is the beloved wife of Gwidon Szymanski, cherished mother of Danuta Szymanski, Don & his wife Elizabeth, Eliza Van Boerun & her husband Richard, & Barbara Van Boerun & her husband Gary. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held today, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 44 Bay Ave., Bloomfield, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, December 12th at 9:00 a.m. at St. Valentine Church. Interment will take place on Monday, December 14th at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Doylestown, PA.
