Helen A. Cole

Helen A. (nee Chachula) Cole of Bloomfield, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, December 8, 2017 with her family by her side. She was 94. Visitation for family and friends will be at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home, 44 Bay Avenue, Bloomfield (additional parking on Broughton Avenue) on Tuesday, December 12, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (www.levandoskigrillofuneralsevices.com). The funeral will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Valentine Church, 124 North Spring Street, Bloomfield. Interment will be at the Mount Olivet Cemetery, 23 Cottage Place, Bloomfield. Mrs. Cole was born in Turobin, Poland and settled in the United States in 1934. She moved to Bloomfield, NJ with her husband, Theodore, over 65 years ago. She was a 40 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 448 of Bloomfield, where she was the current treasurer and past president. Mrs. Cole sang in the Saint Valentines Church Choir. She loved to sing. She also enjoyed gardening, listening to birds sing, sewing, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Cole was last of eight siblings and the beloved wife of the late Theodore J. Cole, loving mother of Robert J. Cole, MD and his wife Janet Wilson Cole, Janet M. Cole, MD and her husband Timothy Seaton, MD, and Marian Kentner, RN and her husband Curtis Kentner. She was the loving grandmother of Amanda Cole MD, Morgan Cole, Jason Cole, Dave Seaton, Alex Seaton, Eric Seaton, Matt Horn, Helena Horn, Paul Kentner, JoEllen Kentner, and Gabriela Feliz-Seaton.
