Helen M Kennedy

Helen M. Kennedy, 80 of Colonia, entered into eternal life on May 9, 2024, at Center for Hope Hospice, Scotch Plains. Born April 19, 1944, in Union, NJ, to the late Walter Bunnell & Gertrude (nee: Spaeth), she lived there until 2000 when she relocated to Colonia. She was a homemaker, devoted to caring for her family. It was her family that was the center of her life and aside from feeding the birds, Mrs. Kennedy enjoyed nothing more than taking care of her grandchildren and her special dog, Kayla.

She is predeceased by her husband Kenneth Kennedy (2018) and her siblings; Walter, Hubert, Stanley & Paul Bunnell & Dolores Smith.

She is the beloved mother of Carol Miller & her husband Frank, cherished grandmother of Michael, Steven & Patrick Miller and the adored sister of Frederick Bunnell & Florence Davis. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Union Funeral Home, 1600 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, NJ. A Catholic Prayer Service will take place at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union.
