Helen Strucki

Mrs. Helen Strucki 85, of Irvington, NJ died on March 11, 2007. Born in Poland, Mrs. Strucki lived in Newark before moving to Irvington in 1970. She worked in several departments in Bambergers in Newark and later became a crossing guard for the Irvington Police Department until retiring in 2000. Mrs. Strucki was a talented seamstress who created clothing not only for herself and her family, but numerous clients as well. She also took great pride in her garden, which she maintained as long as her health allowed. Through her cooking, she shared her love with her family. Mrs. Stucki was predeceased by her husband, Frank Strucki, in 1980, and is survived by her daughters, Catherine Palmerezzi of Maplewood and Paula Strucki of Hamburg; her sons, Frank Strucki of Toms River and Steven Strucki of Beachwood; her six grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Helen's name. Private funeral services are under the direction of the Union Funeral Home-Lytwyn & Lytwyn, Union.
